    History of Aprilia motorcycles

The Italian brand Aprilia was founded in 1968. Ivano Beggio, the son of the Italian bicycle manufacturer Alberto Beggio, began producing light motorcycles for motocross in that year. In the 1970s, Aprilia began producing road motorcycles and managed to carve out a surprisingly successful niche for itself in the face of the dominance of Japanese brands.

In the 1980s, Aprilia presented its first motorcycle for public roads: the ST125. Sales success came in 1990 with the introduction of the Pegaso 600. In the 1990s, Aprilia also began producing scooters, which achieved good sales figures, especially in the Italian home market. In 1998, the first version of the RSV Mille was launched. The RSV superbike with V-twin engine is still Aprilia's flagship model.

Aprilia took over Moto Guzzi and Laverda in 2000. This was followed by financial problems and in 2004 the brand ended up in crisis. Changes were necessary and at the end of 2004 the company was taken over by the Paggio group.

Over the past decades, Aprilia has been extremely successful on the racetrack. The brand has won more than 300 GP victories in motorcycle road races. Aprilia also does well in the off-road disciplines, with multiple world titles in the Trial and Supermotard class.

    Why ride an Aprilia?

Aprilia is known for its refined technology and beautiful Italian design. It is truly a brand for enthusiasts who like to ride an exclusive motorcycle with excellent performance.

    Caponord

As a serious motorcycle brand, Aprilia decided back in 2001 to follow the example of the BMW GS, KTM Adventure, Triumph Tiger, Ducati Multistrada and Yamaha Super Ténéré and bring a large all-road motorcycle onto the market. The Caponord 1200 has a lot of electronics on board, but also handles beautifully. The engine runs smoothly and with 125 hp, the motorcycle performs very well.

    Pegasus

Pegasus was the winged horse from mythology. The Pegaso may be a little less mythical than the winged horse Pegasus, but it is a wonderful motorbike for novice motorcyclists. With the wide handlebars, comfortable saddle and smooth engine, the Aprilia Pegaso is perfect for enjoyable tours.

    RSV Mille

Are you an experienced motorcyclist looking for a day of tight steering? Then rent the iconic RSV Mille. You don't rent an RSV for its comfortable seating position, the options for taking lots of luggage or for leisurely cruising. With the Aprilia RSV Mille, you want to take corners flat out and speed away from traffic lights.
