One of the most beautiful nature reserves in our country is the Brabant Biesbosch. This watery region with river islands is located in the far west of Brabant between the major highways A16, A15, A27 and A58. From the north you take exit 23 from the A15 or exit 20 from the A16. You will then come to the N3 and take the exit to the recreation area Hollandse Biesbosch. From the south you take the exit Made on the A59 (exit 32). From the east you take the A27 and exit 23 (Werkendam) or 21 (Hank-Dussen). Then follow the signs. In Lage Zwaluwe is a parking lot and a ferry departs into the park. Can you go there for a picnic!

To the south of Breda lies the Mastbos. This beautiful deciduous forest stretches as far as the Belgian border. On your motorcycle you can make a nice trip along the borders of this forest. You will automatically arrive at the Galdere lakes, an area with two large lakes. If the weather is good, the banks of the lakes are an excellent place to stop your motorcycle.

Van Gogh was born in Brabant. Follow in Van Gogh's footsteps by motorcycle and visit 5 cities in his native province. In Zundert you will find Van Gogh's birth house. In Tilburg you can visit the schoolroom where he received his first drawing lessons. Vincent had his first studio in Etten Leur. In the Van Gogh Church you can learn more about the time that Van Gogh spent in Brabant. In Nuenen there is an outdoor museum with 21 buildings and places which remind you of the painter. In the Noord-Brabants Museum in Den Bosch you can admire a number of works (including The Potato Eaters).

Noord-Brabant is a fine province for a ride on the motorcycle. You will be pleasantly surprised by the versatility of the province. The roads are quiet and winding through woodlands and beautiful countryside. You can make regular stops in authentic villages or beautiful historic towns. Our three favorite routes in Noord-Brabant:

This route runs through the landscape of western Brabant and a small part of Belgium. It is a varied route with many inner roads through wooded areas. This motorcycle route runs through the following places and can be driven by following the brown signposts: Steenbergen, Wouw, Bergen op Zoom, Hoogerheide, Ossendrecht, Huijbergen, Wouwse Plantage, Nispen, Essen, Schijf, Rucphen, Bosschenhoofd, Oudenbosch, Oud Gastel, Stampersgat and Dinteloord.

De Peel is located in the east of Brabant, between the cities of Eindhoven, Den Bosch and Nijmegen. It is a peat bog that was dug out from the beginning of the 19th century to use the peat as fuel. It is now a protected cultural area with beautiful villages, fields and lots of natural beauty. This route of over 100 kilometers starts north of Eindhoven.

This route of 184 km takes you along the border region of Brabant. You'll make a nice round trip south of the cities of Breda, Tilburg and Eindhoven. You'll pass the enclaves of Baarle Hertog and Baarle Nassau and you can make a stop at the brewery de Pimpelmeesch (you can take the beer home in your top case!).

What could be better than to relax at a terrace at the end of a day of motorcycling? Enjoying a drink, watching and being watched and having a nice chat. The terrace is important for motorcyclists. We list our favorite motorcycle terraces in North Brabant.

This beautiful Brabant inn is located in the Hergang, a thousand year old forest area south of Hilvarenbeek through which the river Lard flows. The inn has existed for more than eighty years and, according to the stories, was once visited by mythical figures who rode through the woods here on their bucks. The terrace is large and all around you look into the greenery.

This pavilion is located on the banks of the De Turfvaart recreational lake. Here you can enjoy your snack or drink with a view of the lake and the playground.

In the heart of the fortified town of Heusden stands a 17th-century building that houses this restaurant. Inside are beautiful murals, outside you will find a lovely large terrace.

In the woods south of Eindhoven lies the cabin of Mie Pils. She came to live here at the end of the 19th century. The hut was then a simple inn where poachers and travelers came to drink beer and gin. Outside the hut, on the edge of the forest, a large kettle of soup hung over an open fire. You can now rest there on the terraces and enjoy a sandwich or cup of coffee.

Actually, this café is located in Limburg, 100 meters from the border with Brabant. Here you are in the south of the Peel. The place is so special that you should definitely enjoy a snack or a drink here on the large terrace if you are riding through the Peel area on your motorcycle.
