In 1980, a German design firm designed the Katana for Suzuki. The aggressive look of the bike was created by the large, almost sculpted gas tank. This made the rider sit more ''in'' than ''on'' the Katana. The name refers to a samurai sword. Thanks to its four-cylinder engine with 4 valves per cylinder, the Katana was also the fastest motorcycle in the world in those years. In 2019, Suzuki will once again bring a Katana to the market. This motorcycle, based on the GSX-S100F is a tribute to the successful Katana models of the 1980s and 1990s.

Since 1999, the Suzuki Hayabusa, with its powerful engine and unique streamline, has been the fastest production motorcycle ever built.
