La YBR125 es un motor de 1 cilindro de cuatro tiempos refrigerado por aire. Ideal para la ciudad, gracias a su bajo peso (106 kg) la YBR es muy manejable. Las carreteras provinciales también están bien para circular con esta moto, pero es mejor evitar la autopista. La velocidad máxima es de 106km/h en el contador, en realidad es un poco menor. El motor sube hasta los 80 km/h con bastante suavidad, pero a partir de ahí es mucho más lento. Por lo tanto, sólo se debe tomar la autopista si no hay otra opción.
